Stop the Pain with Love

* heart glow *

You might have heard about Louise Hay’s bestselling book “You can heal your life”. No matter where you are you can make the choice to move forward towards wellness. Louise Hay is the founder of Hay House that publishes some of my most favorite authors like Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, Gregg Braden, Denise Linn, Joan Borysenko and more. You can check all this at Hayhouse.

Here is some daily wisdom from Louise Hay:

Stop the pain with Love.

No matter what we’re doing, or not doing, we are thinking. Our thoughts shape our life! This is the why it’s imperative to take control of your own thinking. You can stop choosing thoughts of pain.

Here’s a great exercise to do: once a day write down 10 things that you love. Do this first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Verbalize the things you love. Also, if during the day you find yourself thinking thoughts of pain. or saying “I hate (fill in the blank)” take a breath and say, “Enough of that. This is what I love.”

Try this for a month and your life will explode with good experiences. Remember to be grateful and be sure to say: Thank you! Thank you!

Law of Attraction

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I have not been blogging as I am so busy  finishing my assignments for my training as a Law of Attraction Coach. I am so enjoying the whole process.

Here is the daily quotation from Abraham. You can sign up here for it.

Law of Attraction abounds, and when it is said to you, “Ask, and it is given.” there is no more powerful statement that is at the basis of what makes things happen than that. Now, how is it that you think you ask? With your words? The Universe doesn’t hear your words. You ask with your desire. The desire that is born out of contrast. That desire. That wanting. That’s what summons the Life Force.

What do you desire today?

The Tao

Meditation Island

I am just reading Wayne Dyer’s latest book “Change your Thoughts – Change your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao”. It is based on the 81 passages of the Tao te Ching that was authored 2500 years ago by Lao Tzu. The Tao is translated as “the way of Nature”. Tao is simply the way and order of the universe. Lao Tsu taught that the wisest approach was non-action, not in action but rather a harmonisation of  one’s personal will with the natural harmony and justice of Nature. In other words through stillness and receptivity, natural intuition guides us in knowing when to act and when not to act.

I love the book because it is so full of paradoxes as is life and yet it is simple.

Here is the first verse:

The Tao that can be told

is not the eternal Tao.

The name that can be named

is not the eternal name.

The Tao is both named and nameless.

As nameless it is the origin of all things:

as named it is the Mother of 10,000  things.

Ever desireless, one can see the mystery;

ever desiring, one sees only the manifestations.

And the mystery itself is the doorway to understanding.

The book is a feast for the soul.

May you find the way of the Tao.

Okra – Ladies Finger

Fresh Okra, Nokia N72

Okra is widely used in the Middle East, South Asia and in the southern States of the United States.

The fiber in Okra stabilises blood sugar. It is rich in folic acid and silicon. It binds bile acid carrying toxins, improves elimination and it’s mucilage soothes the intestinal tract. It also works as a prebiotic and feeds good bacteria. It is very alkaline and helps to neutralize acids. It helps maintain smooth and beautiful skin. Cleopatra apparantly loved okra. It is a supreme vegetable for those feeling weak, exhausted and suffering depression. It is best cooked as little as possible.

I love it raw in my salads or raw soups. It adds a wonderful soft crunch. Try it out and experience raw okra.

Have a crunchy day.

Raw Mexican Fiesta

Tomatoes and Avocados

I hold workshops from time to time. Yesterday I held my first Raw Class and the topic was “Raw Mexican Fiesta”. It was absolutely fantastic. I am so happy to be able to bring this yumminess into people’s lives.

I taught how to make Guacamole, Salsa, Taco Meat, Nacho Cheese, Refried Beans and Banana-Mint-Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce, Coconut Cream and Pistachio topping. Everything was soo very good. I will upload some photos when I get around to it.

I also do workshops on Essential Oils and the Law of Attraction. If you are in the Toronto area and would like to be notified of my workshops drop me a line at

I was listening to the Raw Summit 2 that started yesterday. There are 12 excellent speakers lined up. You can register at the Raw Summit 2 website.

Yesterday’s call was with Michael Beckwith. You may have seen Michael on the Secret. He was my favorite teacher in the movie. Michael is 80 % raw. I very much enjoyed listening to him.

Michael talked about his diet and philosophy. He talked about mental fasting and has a book called 40 day Mind Fast – Soul Feast. This is based on mental fasting by turning away from the world’s perspective and turning inwards to feast on inspiration.

He has a talk on his website that he is giving away as a gift. You can download it from his website.

Have a marvellous day.

Raw Banana Bread recipe

What a busy time it is. I am thankful for all the raw energy that helps me to help others more. Yesterday I was giving a workshop to a group of women at our community center. It was wonderful to see them all inspired to incorporate some baby steps to make a difference. I was speaking on aging and how there is so much we can do to not only age well but to rejuvenate and live a joyful life.

Toronto Star’s cover story on Saturday was about the Diabetes epidemic. We do not belong to any epidemic except the feel good epidemic with everything we have at our disposal.

I am looking forward to teaching the group how to incorporate more yummy recipes into their life.

One of the questions was what to do with leftover juice pulp. There is so much that can be done with pulp besides enriching the soil in your garden. I did have a dressing recipe made with juice pulp in my November newsletter.

This is a Raw Banana Nut Bread recipe made with juice pulp by Matt Monarch that Angela Stokes had on her blog and her current newsletter.

Banana-Nut Bread

2 cups vegetable juice pulp (preferably at least half of it carrot pulp)

8 tbsp ground flax or chia

3/4 cup chopped walnuts

3/4 cup raisins

5 bananas

Mix together the veggie juice pulp and bananas in a food processor. Add in the ground flax or chia and let the food procesor run until the sees are completely mixed in. Transfer the mixture in a bowl with the walnuts and raisins and mix them in thoroughly by hand. Shape into into a loaf. For major yumminess, top with “Cream Cheese” (see below)

Cream Cheese

Flesh of 3 avocados

9 dates

Juice of 1 or 2 lemons

big handful of dulse

Blend the ingredients in a blender. Serve on top of banana nut bread, or just eat on its own.

Angela also mentions that she replaced the walnuts and raisins with chopped brazil nuts and diced prunes and added lucuma for shortbready yumminess.

Have a yummy day.

Thankfulness and the New Moon

New Moon

2 days ago we had no electricity for half the day. It is only when we do not have something do we realise how valuable it is. No green smoothies, no green juice, no blogging, a very cold and dark house, no telephone. I welcome the hiccups of life for they make me conscious of something that fades into the background yet without which life seems to fall apart. I am so very thankful for the Source that always watches over me and I know that we are taken care of.

Today is New Moon at 3.03 pm PST/6.03 EST. This New Moon is in Scorpio, a Water sign. Scorpio hold all the mystery of the water elements, the psychic power and the dreaminess. New Moons are a good time to plant the seeds of your desire. What are you dreams and desires for the Global Heart?

Sunday is 11th November, when the earth aligns with the angelic frequency of 11:11. This is a significant day to illuminate your purposes and directions. So focus and meditate on your dreams and desires and all the good you can do for the Global Heart.

May you connect deeply with your purpose.
