Yummy Salad Sauce recipe


This is a cayenne pepper plant from my sister’s garden. Mine have not started turning red yet. Red or green, I love chillis.

Being of Indian origin, I love spices. This recipe is so simple and I currently cannot get enough of it. The fresh chillis from our garden give it an incredible flavor. If you don’t like chillis 😦 just leave it out. 

1/2 cup cashew, soaked for at least 4 hours

1/4 tsp madras curry powder

1/2 chilli

1/8 cup water or adjust to desired consistency

Salt to taste

Blend until smooth. I use my handblender for smaller quantities or make larger quantities in a high speed blender for an ultrasmooth  texture.

Yesterday we went to Niagara Falls (we had the most wonderful time) and I took a large salad with us. Romaine, cucumber avocado ,heirloom tomatoes, moong sprouts and this sauce. It was sooooooo good. We also bought some tree ripened peaches from Peach Country Farm that were full of the taste of summer. In my books, summer should last forever. 🙂
