Color your Life

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I love colors. I can stand and stare at colors anywhere for hours. Oh what a wonderful world this is.

Each color of the spectrum has unique properties.

Red promotes strength, vitality and alertness.

Orange connects you to your creativity.

Yellow releases stress and energizes your whole body.

Green promotes inner peace and balance.

Pink encourages self awarenss and generosity.

Blue and indigos help you communicate, plan and organize.

Purple and amethyst help open your psychic channels and free your mind.

You can use them according to your needs in any area of your life.

Here is what you are saying about yourself according to the color you wear:

Red: I am in control. Wear it when you want to be noticed.

Yellow: I am an optimist. It makes you appear outgoing and dynamic. Wear it to uplift your mood when you are feeling tired.

Green: I am down to earth. Wear it when you want to appear humble. It makes people comfortable around you.

Pink: I am caring and nurturing. It projects love and romance in a soft, unassuming way.

Blue: You can trust me. Wear it when you want to appear trustworthy.

Purple: I am creative. Purple says you are a deep thinker, artistic and imaginative. Wear it when you want inspiration. It stimulates the creative part of the brain.

Beautiful on raw – Tonya Zavasta

105_2590_1.jpg

Linda, Tonya, Robin at Toronto Sprouts

The Painting in the background is by Robin, who works at Toronto Sprouts.

Last week I went to see Tonya Zavasta who was speaking at Toronto Sprouts.

Tonya was born with a hip deformity. She needed a lot of surgeries to be able to walk. After which she walked with a limp.

In high school, a beautiful friend of hers told her she would rather die than look like her.

Tonya set out on a journey to be beautiful. Today at 50 her strong spirit has achieved that and more. With an artificial hip she stands incredibly straight and strong. She speaks with much love wanting to share her secrets so that everyone can be beautiful. She looks stunning and is an incredibly entertaining speaker much like a one woman stage show. With her intelligence, charisma, beauty and love, she shared her experiences and knowledge and mesmerised everyone in the audience. Tonya has been 100 % raw for 10 years and does Bikram Yoga. She persisted with yoga despite her initial pain with her hip. Her husband Nick who was eating cooked food became 100 % raw 7 months ago and has lost 70 lbs. He was on hand to help her throughout, making and serving the pea shoots and mango pudding.

Meeting Tonya was an enchanting and inspiring experience.

Here are some gems from her:

Life on Raw Food is blissful. Your body becomes your greatest ally.

Tools for Transformation

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

A butterfly is a symbol for transformation, joy, happiness, spring, rebirth, renewal, growth and change.

If you are not seeing butterflies everywhere, put up a picture of one to symbolise your own transformation. Suddenly you will start noticing them everywhere.

To round up this week’s post, here is a list of Tools for Transformation. As I was putting it together, I realized that in this abundant Universe just about anything can be used as a tool for transformation. I could easily write a a book about this.

Transformation does not happen overnight, so use all the inspiring tools you like to dance joyfully through the change.

Change is an essential part of life and is essential part of growth and accomplishments. It can be done with joy and ease.

Most importantly know what you want and focus on that. It is the Law of Attraction.

To understand more about change, I recommend Joan Borysenko’s book: Say Yes to Change.

I have not gone into details so as to keep this list simple.

Journaling

Decluttering your external – Make space for the new, create sacred space

Detoxing – more information in my September newsletter. To receive my newsletter, you can sign up here.

Exercise

Rest

Sleep

Silence, Reflection

Food, especially Raw Food.

Nature

Prayers

Affirmations

Anger, Fear – can be transformed into action, Use them to your advantage. “As heat conserved becomes energy, our anger can become a power which can move the world.” Mahatma Gandhi

Gratitude

Card decks. There are many like angel guidance cards, ask and it is given cards (manifest your desires) and many more. Choose one that you love.

Inspirational books and CDs to feed your mind and soul. Check out my Recommended books page. By clicking on each one you can get more information. I love books and could easily list hundreds. Also check out the Hayhouseradio icon in the sidebar.

Colors – have many healing and uplifting properties, Use them in your environment, in the clothes you wear, in your creative work, in your healing practices, in your food. There are many variations of color therapy that are helpful too.

Essential Oils have a direct effect on our emotions. Many oils can help with emotions. And I will talk about this in future posts. Here is just one of them. Young Living’s Transformation empowers and upholds changes you want to make in your belief system. By replacing old beliefs with new thought patterns, a transformation in behaviours, patterns and emotions is possible. It contains lemon, peppermint, clary sage, sandalwood, frankincense, idaho balsam fir, rosemary, cardamom.

Questions – The quality of your life depends on the quality of questions you ask. For if you don’t ask the question you will not hear or see the answer, even if it right there before you. A simple one you could ask today: What can I do to make a difference today? Choose any area you would like to make a change in. Write down your answer and take action. The action might be simply changing a belief or choosing one of the tools listed above. Today choose to listen to your answer and let it help you transform.

Take just one baby step today.

Keep shining and moving towards the light.

The Power of Love and Gratitude

I love being  in the spirit of Gratitude. It is a way of life for me. Life becomes a magical pathway. A gift for eternity.

Dr Masaru Emoto’s research on the effect of words on water is amazing. Beautiful words create beautiful crystals in water.  The picture is of the crystal forming when the words Love and Gratitude were put on the container of water.

Love and Gratitude Crystal

Dr Masaru Emoto found this to be the most beautiful crystal of all. It changed his life for it taught him the impact of love and gratitude can have on the world.

With the human body and the planet being 70 % water, it is so understandable how words can impact us. Prayers have a cleansing and purifying effect on water and will also produce beautiful crystals.

He asks if the keynote of our souls would be Love and Gratitude, surely this will enable us to become the most beautiful we can be? He suggests that having twice the amount of Gratitude as Love is the balance we should strive for. His book “The Hidden Messages in Water” contains more information on his research.

Look around and see that the world is full of so much that deserves our Gratitude.

Young Living’s Gratitude blend is designed to help soothe and foster a grateful attitude and a remembrance of all that we have to be thankful for.  It is wonderful in a bath or just used as a perfume. It contains Idaho balsam fir, frankincense, rosewood, myrrh, galbanum and ylang ylang.

Today start a Gratitude Journal listing at least 5 things what you are grateful for. It will help you become more conscious of all the good in your life. The more thankful we are  the more we have to be thankful for. If you are stuck for inspiration check out my first posting “Life is for living and living is free”.

Letting go – Instructions for Freedom

 Flying in the sky

Forgiveness is such a powerful healing tool. It is a gift we give ourselves. Whether it is forgiving yourself or others, I hope you will find some inspiration here to let go and move on.

The beautiful “Instructions for Freedom” is from “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was given to her by a poet from New Zealand during a stay in an Ashram as she was struggling to come to terms with her divorce. On the rooftop of the Ashram, at sunset with a warm breeze blowing and the evening stars starting to sparkle, she goes through the following process.

Instructions for Freedom

1. Life’s metaphors are God’s instructions.

2. You have just climbed up and above the roof. There is nothing between you and the Infinite. Now, let go.

3. The day is ending. It’s time for something that was beautiful to turn into something else that is beautiful. Now, let go.

4. Your wish for a resolution was a prayer. Your being here is God’s response. Let go, watch the stars come out – on the outside and on the inside.

5. With all your heart, ask for grace, and let go.

6. With all your heart, forgive him, FORGIVE YOURSELF, and let him go.

7. Let your intention be freedom from useless suffering. Then, let go.

8. Watch the heat of the day go by into the cool of the night. Let go.

9. When the karma of a relationship is done, only love remains. It’s safe. Let go.

10. When the past has passed from you at last, let go. Then climb down and begin the rest of your life. With great joy.

Find your self a place of beauty to do this process for yourself. You might also want to try the Emotional Essential oil protocol that is in my August Newsletter. This process can be greatly enhanced by the use of Essential Oils. They have a direct influence on the brain as the sense of smell is directly connected to the brain. Olfactory nerves transport the aroma of the oil to the limbic system and the olfactory sensory center at the base of the brain. The impulses are passed next between the pituitary and pineal gland and move to the amygdala, which is the memory center of fear and trauma. Healing can then take place.

Young Living’s Forgiveness is a powerful blend to help move past the barriers by bringing them into higher spiritual awareness.

The ingredients in the blend are: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Melissa, Angelica, Helichrysum, Rose, Rosewood, Geranium, Lemon, Palmarosa, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Roman Chamomile, Jasmine

Peace

A new delight

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I have greatly simplified today’s post. There is much to say but I trust the essence of it will come over.

Our weaknesses can be powerful tools to transformation. They are part of our whole. Acknowledging them can bring forth new desires. If we are willing to look at them we allow for transformation to happen. If we resist we close the door to change and growth. In embracing and being grateful in the Now we clear the space for the new. It also means being in the Flow and in alignment with Source Energy.

Rumi is a Sufi poet from the 13th century. His poems are full of devotion and ecstasy. This particular one talks about  embracing your weaknesses or shadows for they are here to teach us something.

The guest house

This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Rumi

Negative thoughts also arise from toxicity. Eating  pure foods makes the way to living a blissful life easier.

Another Mantra to cleanse, cleanse, cleanse is  from the Ho’oponopono (love the rhythm of that word) technique described by Joe Vitale in his book Zero Limit, co authored by Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len. This is an ancient Hawaiian process for problems solving.

Ho’oponopono is a simple process of “letting go” of any “toxic energies” within you and allowing a “new space” for the healing power of the true Divine. Sounds a lot like Rumi. And it sounds a lot like the Raw Food Lifestyle.

The Mantra is very simple.

I love you.

I thank you.

Please forgive me. (More on Forgiveness in tomorrow’s post)

I am sorry.

Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len explains:When your Soul experiences memories replaying problems, say  to them mentally or silently: “I love you dear memories.  I am grateful for the opportunity to free all of you and me.”  “I love you” can be repeated quietly again and again.  Memories never go on vacation or retire unless you retire them.  “I love you” can be used even if you are not conscious of problems. For example, it can be applied before engaging in any activity such as making or answering a telephone call or before getting into your car to go somewhere.

Drinking lots of water is a wonderful problem solving  practice, particularly if it is blue solar water. (Water put in a blue glass and exposed to the sun) It can be used as a rinse after a bath or shower. Fruits and vegetables love being washed in blue solar water! As with“I love you”and“Thank you”processes, blue solar water voids memories replaying problems in the Subconscious Mind.

My note: That is why swimming in the blue , sun energy filled ocean is so effective at making us feel wonderful.  Blue Green Algae is a natural blue solar source. Dr Len also recommends blueberries and strawberries for voiding memories. No wonder Raw Food makes you feel so good. It cleanses at cellular level making space for a new delight.

Today open the door, invite your guests in, love them and make space for a new delight.

Happy living.
